Diversity in the workplace in the UK

In the UK, there is an especially strong legal framework which influences training courses and materials, and raises awareness of diversity issues at all levels of industry, business and education. The UK provides examples of detailed legislation which sets out parameters for conduct by individuals and organisations, against which all materials development and training courses must be set.

A more detailed summary of the UK situation is in the report to the project partners from May 2009: DEW Project UK Localisation Study A local example is given by the Sussex Police, while a national view comes from 2011 Census in England and Wales.
